At Camp N’ Cruise LLC, we are committed to providing you with a premium, high-efficiency solar alignment tool, SolAlign, while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how SolAlign handles information when you use our mobile application.
This Privacy Policy explains how we access your data when you use our app and services. We believe privacy shouldn't require a law degree to understand, so we have written this document in plain language. Because we operate globally, this policy is designed to comply with major privacy frameworks worldwide, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, the CCPA/CPRA, and all other applicable US State Privacy Laws. 1. Information Collection and Use
SolAlign is designed as an offline-first application. We believe your data belongs to you, and our technical architecture reflects that.
A. Location Data
To provide accurate solar tilt and azimuth calculations, SolAlign requires access to your device's GPS Latitude.
How it's used: This data is used solely to power the Astronomical Math Engine within the app to calculate the optimal angle for your solar panels based on your current position.
Storage: This data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your location to external servers or store it in any cloud database.
B. Device Sensors
The app utilizes your device’s accelerometer and magnetometer (compass) to provide the real-time "Sun" target and "Bubble" alignment interface.
How it's used: This allows for real-time instrumentation and the "Floor Calibration" feature to compensate for vehicle slope.
Storage: Sensor data is processed in real-time and is never recorded, saved, or shared.
2. Data Retention and Deletion
Since SolAlign is an offline-first application that does not collect, store, or transmit personal data or location data to external servers, we do not retain any user data. All data processed by the app is handled locally on your device. Users can delete any locally cached data by clearing the applications cache or by uninstalling the application from their device.
3. Offline-First Commitment
SolAlign is built to function with zero internet bandwidth.
The application does not require a user account or login.
No personal information (name, email, or contact details) is collected by the app.
Because the app functions 100% offline, SolAlign does not use third-party tracking or analytics cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
SolAlign is built using the React Native/Expo framework and is distributed through the Google Play Store (as an AAB) and/or Apple App Store. While SolAlign itself does not collect data, these distribution platforms may collect basic, anonymous telemetry according to their own privacy policies.
5. Children’s Privacy
Since SolAlign does not collect any personally identifiable information, it does not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
Laws change, our app evolves, and this policy will occasionally need an update. We believe in fair notice.
If we make material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will notify you via an alert in the mobile app or by sending an email to the address associated with your account before the changes take effect.
